Francie was joined for the recording by Finbar Furey (The Fureys), Bob Spates (Willie Nelson, Nils Lofgren of The E Street, Band, Barry White), Matt Kelleghan (Moving Hearts) and the 'River to Sea' band who have enjoyed considerable success with their recordings and concerts, including The National Concert Hall, Dublin.
The song was recorded in Dublin and Washington DC. Artwork for the cover is designed by renowned Dublin graphic artist John Reddy.
‘Our River Keeps On Flowing’ was launched by Taoiseach Enda Kenny last month.
The Gathering is a year-long celebration of all that is great about Ireland and runs until the end of 2013.
