Three lucky classes across Ireland will win a visit from Ireland’s first-ever Vendée Globe participant Enda O Coineen.  To enter your class for this chance to win, simply complete the entry form below:

The current Vendée Globe race record is 78 days, 2 Hours, 16 Minutes.   We want you to guess how long Enda will take to finish and even if he will finish. The three entries that guess the closest times will win a visit to their school.  Entries must be submitted before midnight on Sunday 13th November, when Enda will have been at sea for one week. 

 

Terms & Conditions

  1. The giveaway runs from 2016-11-06 to 2016-12-23. The draw for the Giveaway prizes will take place on 2016-12-23, and the winners will be notified by email or telephone.
  2. All entrants must be 18 years or over. Only entrants who submitted correct registration details will be eligible.
  3. Subscribers must enter the giveaway before the applicable closing date.
  4. Incomplete, illegible or late entries will not be accepted. No responsibility will be accepted for entries lost or delayed in the course of transmission.
  5. By filling in all the details required in the entry form online and confirming that you have read the terms and conditions of entry and completing the answer and sending it (selecting the ’post’ button) to INM you are deemed to have accepted all applicable terms and conditions of the competition
  6. Persons not eligible to enter the on-line giveaway include employees of INM, Bord Gais Energy and their families, agents of Independent.ie and any third party included in this promotion.
  7. The prize is non-transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash or any other equivalent.
  8. Independent.ie reserve the right to substitute activities of an equivalent or greater value to those specified, should any part of the activity become unavailable.
  9. The on-line giveaway winning entries will be selected in a draw by an independent judge. The judge’s decision is final and no correspondence or communication will be entered into.
  10. Winners must agree to participate in any promotional activities that may be organised by herald.ie in connection with the giveaway.
  11. The personal details which have been submitted for the Competition will be held by Independent News and Media. This information will only be shared with third parties involved with the Competition for the administration of the Competition and/or the supply and delivery of prizes, unless otherwise agreed.   12. INM reserves the right in its absolute discretion to disqualify any entrant, to add to or waive any rules without prior notice to the entrants or in the event of circumstance beyond the control of INM arising which in its opinion makes it desirable to cancel the competition at any stage.
